2017 Fiat 500S facelift revealed in Geneva
Italian carmaker Fiat has launched the facelifted model of its 500S hatchback. When it was released on 2012 in Europe, it was positioned between the cute standard 500 and the hot Abarth version. As 4 years have passed since its inception, its high time for the car to be subjected to a little freshening.
The designers haven’t tampered much with the vintage looks of the 500S, which is a good thing. The changes are subtle but they fare well in giving the new 500S a refreshed identity. Sportier bumpers, side skirts and new 15-inch wheels with a matte diamond black finish make up the bodywork. Some exterior trim parts are finished in satin graphite. Buyers can choose from just two exterior colours, Electronica Blue and Matte Green.
The interior uses an all-black theme for the dashboard, centre console and seats. The seats can be trimmed with contrasting colour material in some areas. A UConnect 7-inch High Definition touchscreen is standard along with a new 7-speaker, 440W Beats by Dr.Dre audio system.
The new 500S will be put on sale in Europe this summer. While the regular Fiat 500 is available, the 500S is currently not offered in the GCC.
