Honda just launched the 2016 Accord Coupe for the GCC at an event in Dubai. Already available in showrooms, it is just a facelift, but now comes with several active safety options.

New design elements include restyled front and rear bumper fascias, a new grille and new alloy wheels for all grades. The Accord Coupe also features more LED lighting all round, including full LED headlights for the V6 version. Trim levels have been, well, trimmed down to 2.4 EX, 3.5 EX and 3.5 “Honda Sensing” grades.

The Accord Coupe’s interior offers fabric in the base grade and leather in V6 grades.

All grades get the 8-inch TFT Intelligent Multi-Information Display (i-MID) screen, remote engine start, dual-zone a/c, rear parking sensors with camera, ESP and more. The V6 grades also get a fancier a/c, navigation and the “LaneWatch” blind-spot camera. The optional Honda Sensing features consist of Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist System,
Collision Mitigation Braking System and Road Departure Mitigation System.

The 185 hp 2.4-litre 4-cylinder engine is mated with a CVT and the 276 hp 3.5-litre V6 engine comes with a 6-speed automatic. While outputs aren’t vastly different, the new “Earth Dreams” engines offer about 10% better fuel economy apparently.

Unlike the Chinese-built GCC-spec Accord sedan, the GCC-spec Accord coupe is imported from America.

  1. Now looks a little like it’s Acura cousin…will cost more…

  2. No electronic brake?

  3. Again it’s made in China accord I guess.

  4. *concluding the article*

…. The GCC-spec Accord coupe is imported from America and designed by the Koreans.

  5. That error message on the infotainment screen though.
