2016 Volkswagen Tiguan officially revealed
Volkswagen have revealed the all-new 2016 Tiguan, which made its official debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The exterior certainly looks different from the outgoing model, adopting the new look seen in other new Volkswagen models. It is 60 mm longer and 30 mm wider, while also being lighter than 50 kg than its predecessor. It also gains more cabin space, as the wheelbase has been stretched by 77 mm. There is more rear legroom and more trunk space. It also gets 11 mm increased ground clearance.
Six petrol engines and four diesel engines have been released. Power produced in the four TSI engines are 123 hp, 148 hp, 178 hp and 217 hp, while the diesel TDI motors develop 113 hp, 148 hp, 187 hp and 237 hp.
A 5-inch monochrome touchscreen display comes in the entry-level Trendline. Those who upgrade to the Comfortline and Highline trims will have the benefit of a color 5-inch screen while several bigger 8-inch displays are also available and support navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Tiguan R-Line gets 19-inch Sebring wheels with 20-inch wheels optional, sportier front and rear bumpers, two-tone roof spoiler and a glossy black diffuser. The interior features cloth and microfibre upholstery, with Vienna leather optional, aluminium door sill guards, stainless steel pedal covers and footrest, leather-wrapped steering wheel with the R-Line logo and black headliner.
The 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan should arrive in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries by the end of summer in 2016.

One of those moments when you’re a little unsure about the looks. I think I like it.

I think it looks a little awkward from a front view, but the interior and the tail lights are absolutely stunning
