So we got a 2015 Range Rover Sport SVR
There are several fast 4x4s nowadays. And Range Rovers have been plenty fast ever since they started sticking superchargers on their V8s about a decade ago. However, someone gave Land Rover the bright idea that they should start their own “performance” badge, like BMW’s M and Mercedes’ AMG. Frankly, we’re wondering why they didn’t think of it sooner.
The Range Rover Sport SVR, even in this exclusive shade of blue, isn’t a whole lot different from the regular Sport Supercharged, but if you look closely enough, you might spot the bigger bumper and side intakes, unique wheels and a single colourful badge on the tailgate.
Inside, the interior is largely familiar except for some ridiculous racing-style seats that add character and look out of place at the same time. Even in the back.
Being the only SUV in its class that can actually go offroad, it comes with low-range gearing and height-adjustable suspension.
There’s no reason for this big blue trucklet to turn heads, considering its subtle upgrades. But it did turn heads, thanks to its supercar growl. More on that in the full review.

What Cayenne and X5 lack, RRS SVR has, pedigree, it can’t be bought or acquired in haste. With the SVR, RRS has truly become the best capable off and on road vehicle, none others (including the Cayenne Turbo and the X5M) can handle as well off road and on road, on the same trip, period!
