2016 Chevrolet Camaro convertible officially revealed
Chevrolet officially revealed details and images of the 2016 Camaro convertible.
Looking at the engines, no surprises there as it shares the same powerplants as the 2016 Camaro Coupe, which was revealed last month. There is the turbocharged 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine which produces about 275 hp and 400 Nm of torque, then the 3.6-litre V6 unit which churns out about 335 hp and 385 Nm of torque and lastly, the 6.2-litre V8 motor which develops 455 hp and 617 Nm of torque.
The new Camaro convertible is actually going to be about 90 kg lighter than the outgoing model. It features an electro-hydraulic power roof with a multi-layer construction. It also gets acoustic and thermal barriers to cut down noise in the interior. The roof can be opened and closed at speeds of up to 48 kph and it can remotely operated as well using the remote key.
The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro should arrive in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries before the end of the year.
