2015 Porsche Boxster and Cayman revealed in GTS form
Porsche is extending the GTS principle to the Boxster and Cayman for the first time ever. Featuring upgraded engines and adaptive chassis, the Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS stand as the most powerful and fastest iteration of these mid-engine sports models from Porsche.
The 6-cylinder boxer engines fitted are based on the 3.4-litre units from the Boxster S and Cayman S. Thanks to fine-tuning they deliver an additional 15 hp: the Boxster GTS now has an output of 330 hp, while the Cayman GTS delivers 340 hp. Torque increases by 10 Nm in each model. Additionally, the Sport Chrono package is standard. In conjunction with the optional PDK gearbox and Sport Plus mode, this translates into sprints from 0-100 kph in 4.7 seconds for the Boxster GTS, with the Cayman GTS a tenth of a second faster.
The Boxster GTS’s top speed with the manual 6-speed transmission is 281 kph, the first of the new premium roadsters to top the 280 kph mark. At 285 kph the Cayman GTS is even faster. The new top models achieve an overall fuel consumption with PDK of 8.2 l/100 km.
The Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS feature the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as standard which offers the driver a choice of sportier or more comfortable settings. The tires measuring 235/35 at the front and 265/35 at the rear on 20-inch Carrera S wheels provide the perfect setup. Like other Porsche GTS models, both two-seaters come with standard sports seats and leather interiors enhanced with Alcantara elements.
The slightly distinctive front and modified rear end, blackened bi-xenon headlights – with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) – and taillights as well as black gloss exterior lettering are standard features of these new models.

Just me
Too bad that Porsche decided to make the Boxster GTS less powerful than the Cayman GTS.
The new bumper is truly ugly and the GTS gloss pack option makes the car look even more hideous.
I love my Porsche but I have to be honest and say that the new Jaguar F-type R is alot more more appealing.

It’s not less powerful the convertible just gives is slightly less rigidity thus the 0.1s difference. Looks are subjective in my opinion it’s gorgeous.

nice ones
the perfect women’s care exactly like the ford mustang, mini and bmw z4
Dan
One of the most ignorant comments I’ve ever had the displeasure of reading. Whatever image or personal preconceived notion you have of this car, it is a true drivers car, perfectly balanced and tuned. Mentioning it alongside the Mustang and z4 is a crime.
Kev
apparently the cayman is one of the best driver’s car out there and i also believe not many women appreciate these kinda cars. some do, but not many…
marc
agree that the cayman is an amazing machine. a female friend drives the boxter, great car.
still think, like with the mustang, etc., great toy mainly for girls (you dont necessarily want to be seen steering a mustang as a male, right?)

Actually of the 6 women that I know who own a Porsche they all own a model from the 911 range and one of them also owns a Cayenne. This notion that the Boxter is a chick car is a myth that started from conservative die-hard Porsche enthusiest who did not want to accept a new model range. These are the same guys who said that the Cayenne would never sell and yet it turned out to be Porsche’s number one seller. As for Mustang being a chick car I have to ask you Marc from what planet do you come from; in all honesty though just like you Marc the Mustang just does not do it for me.
I love my old Boxster and was really looking forward to the rumoured GTS for the last year but was truly disappointed with the new bumper and rear apron but still love the extras plus the additional 15hp is always a bonus to have but in my case really never use.
This is why the Jaguar F-type R is calling my name come in this trade in time for I think this baby is sexy and will become an instead classic just like the Boxster did when it was first introduced.
