2015 Volkswagen Scirocco gets facelift and new engines
It is quite hard to believe that the Volkswagen Scirocco has been in the market for 6 years now without any changes. However, the 2014 Geneva Motor Show next month brings with it an updated Scirocco.
The refresh covers a few exterior sections. But it is certainly the updated mechanical bits that we’re interested in. The Scirocco comes with the same 1.4-litre and 2.0-litre turbo engines, but they now produce 123 hp and 176 hp respectively. Additionally, the 2.0-litre TSI engines are also available with 217 hp and 276 hp, depending on the variants. The latter obviously is going to be found in the Scirocco R. In any case, the cars could be coupled with a 6-speed manual or an optional DSG automatic gearbox.
The front and rear benefit from the refresh. The new styling does give the Scirocco a meaner stance than before. The 19-inch alloys also complement the looks. But for the sake of your backbone, you could also opt for 17-inch or 18-inch alloys. The interior’s been modified too. There are new auxiliary instruments and the steering wheel is taken from the new Golf GTI.
The new updated Scirocco is expected to enter the European market by August which means, it will probably be in VW showrooms in UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the rest of the GCC sometime early next year.
Keep track of the latest prices and updates in the VW Scirocco buyer guide.

its funny how the new headlight resemble the ones from the Golf 6, tail lights are good looking though. I hope it gets the e-diff.
