Volvo V60 Polestar is not your average touring wagon
We like Polestar for the simple fact that they somehow make Volvo seem more than just a safety conscious vehicle brand. And to be honest we’re not even bored by the monotonous blue paintjob they offer on all their vehicles. Anyhow, the peeps at Volvo have officially unveiled the Volvo V60 Polestar.
Coming in a station wagon layout, the V60 Polestar features a 3.0-litre in-line 6-cylinder turbocharged engine. And it is by no means a slouch, as it produces an impressive 350 hp and 500 Nm of torque. That translates to a 0-100 kph time of 4.9 seconds. It hits 200 kph in 17.7 seconds and finally hits the limiter at 250 kph. And we think this ought to get the folks at Audi and BMW thinking a bit.
The V60 Polestar will come with all-wheel drive and will feature a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The car will also ride on exclusive 20-inch rims. Stopping power comes from the 371 mm ventilated Brembo brakes.
The interior will be different from the standard car, and will sport Polestar configured seating and steering wheel along with a few other undisclosed changes.
The V60 Polestar is actually a limited production vehicle, but it is supposedly set to be marketed across the world. In any case, the V60 Polestar could make its entry into UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman and rest of the GCC by next year, assuming they market the vehicle here.
