Renault Duster Détour concept shown off in South Africa
Renault showcased a concept version of the Renault Duster in Johannesburg, South Africa. Aside from the fact that the concept is named Détour, the vehicle pretty much only receives a few cosmetic touches. But what’s surprising is the lack of publicity the vehicle received.
In any case, Renault says that the Détour combines the spirit of latter “Mad Max” and “Terminator” movies. The concept comes with a beefed-up front brush guard with integrated lights and a rear end with uniquely laid out LED taillights. There’s also dual exhaust tips, an integrated diffuser, rear spoiler and an extra set of lights on the roof rails.
However, we could get used to the interesting-looking two-tone gloss yellow and matte black paint job. Same goes for the wheels.
Any other change in the vehicle other than the cosmetic touches is unknown considering Renault only released so much information. Anyhow, with the Duster-based Nissan already in some markets, it was time Renault spruced up their own version of this SUV.
