2015 Ford Mondeo Vignale revealed in Frankfurt

2014 Ford Mondeo Vignale
To maintain exclusivity from your average Mondeo, Ford is resurrecting their long shelved brand ‘Vignale’ that they acquired in 1969 during their venture with DeTomaso Automobili. And apart from the name and a few tags, you’ll be getting a few goodies to go with it. The new Mondeo Vignale was revealed at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show a few weeks back.

The vehicle will be available in the Vignale trim in both four-door saloon and estate body styles. And to be included in the package that will be set above the already existing ‘Titanium’ trim are the 20-inch Vignale alloy wheels, “Vignale” badging, chrome door handles and mirror caps, mesh grille, a one-off front bumper and fog lamp design, and an exclusive “Nocciola” dark brown paint job.

The trim also entitles the buyers to enjoy quilted trim interiors, chrome lower mouldings, leather armrests, and “Vignale” detailed, high-quality, soft-touch leather that wraps the steering wheel, instrument panel, centre console, door top-rolls and centre arm-rest.

There’s no word on the pricing yet, but they do tell us that the Mondeo Vignale is the start of a flurry of similarly tagged cars by Ford. We’re pretty anxious about the Focus version. Still, we expect the range to be available to buyers in 2015, so they will have to wait for now.
