2010 Lincoln MKZ nears showroom release

2010 Lincoln MKZ
The Lincoln MKZ, while never a bestseller even in its home country, let alone here, has still received a makeover for the 2010 model year instead of being killed off outright. The upgrade comes in line with the redesign of its mechanical sibling, the 2010 Ford Fusion.

2010 Lincoln MKZ

Packing a carryover 263 hp 3.5-litre V6, it gains a new 6-speed automatic with manual-shifting feature. All-wheel-drive is optional in American markets, but will likely be standard in the GCC-spec models. New design features include a larger-grilled front end, a redone tail and an updated interior.

2010 Lincoln MKZ

The MKZ comes with more standard luxury features, such as better leather seats, genuine wood trim, heated and cooled front seats, SYNC entertainment and connectivity system, a reverse sensing system and multi-adjustable power seats. Also available will be the all-new Blind Spot Information System (BLIS™) with Cross Traffic Alert (CTA) and the premium THX II Certified 5.1 Surround sound system.

A new Sport Appearance Package is available that offers special sport suspension tuning with stiffer springs and larger stabilizer bars, 18-inch Euroflange polished wheels, unique grille, body-colour door handles and darkened headlamps. It is unknown if this package will be offered in the UAE.

Lincoln has raised its price, and Ford says they intend the MKZ to compete with the Cadillac CTS and the Lexus ES on value alone, which is a lofty goal. We expect pricing in Dubai to start at Dhs 140,000 when the car comes here. Expect a late-2009 GCC debut for the MKZ.

  1. looool! the car looks like a joke! All these awesome features shud be put in a better looking car

  2. WTH…. it looks awful!!!! shame on Lincoln 👿

  3. only interior looks good…

  4. they make these ugly cars then they go bankrupt and ask for bailout no one to blame but themselves! having said that i would seriously consider it at half price 😉

  5. they shud have fired the guy who designed the tail lights…the worst ever i shud say…u mite find better looking ones in a chinese model…come to think of it…a chinese car mite look better than this crap

  6. I must say that this car looks ghastly

  7. I think it looks okay.

But the problem the options here is usally less than America. example the MKS does not have a GPS or rear view camera and cost about the same as G35 with all the goodies.

for 140k it need abit thinking before buying it. There is the IS300 similar priced. But it improved it performan from 0-60 to 7.1 which is okay. It priced similar to the Toyota Aurion as well as performance. So it all goes to the dealers how they could market it.
