Toyota Avalon 2013 now in UAE showrooms
The all-new 2013 Toyota Avalon full-size sedan has been launched in the UAE, at an event in Abu Dhabi.
The American-built Avalon now shares its front-wheel-drive platform as well as several mechanical bits with the Lexus ES, including the engine. Tuned for 273 hp, the 3.5-litre V6 is mated with a 6-speed automatic with tiptronic functionality.
The base Avalon S model comes with 17-inch alloys, smart key, 8-speaker CD/MP3 stereo with Bluetooth, USB/AUX ports, 6.1-inch touchscreen, auto a/c, auto-dimming mirror with compass, power front seats, cruise control, leatherette seats, halogen auto headlights with fog lamps, 10 airbags, ABS, stability control and dealer-installed front-rear parking sensors. It is priced at Dhs 128,000.
The Avalon SE model adds a 7-inch touchscreen, HDD navigation, rear camera and an 11-speaker stereo with voice-control. It is priced at Dhs 134,000.
The Avalon SE Plus model further adds further-adjustable power front seats with ventilation, premium leather, remote starter, paddle shifters, mirror puddle-lamps, HID headlights, and a power rear sun-shade. It is priced at Dhs 149,000.
The Avalon Limited additionally comes with adaptive cruise control and a pre-crash safety system. It retails for Dhs 154,000.

i can say the car levels are soundly priced with only 28k between the top to lowest trim. I hope they start to have such pricing strategy to other models such as Rav 4. Nice car nice engine nice design and won all comparative reviews against Azera and Maxima 🙂

Some might disagree with me here but you can also consider the full options 2013 Accord Sport 3.5ltr in this category and the Avalon still seems to stay on top.
And hope they include this black leather interior trim in the line up locally as the our dealer always has this tendency to settle for Beige interior alone.

..and finally Toyota has woken up to the reality that only brand name cannot keep itself at the top with it’s dull laggard looks on all it’s cars. The stylish Avalon could mean – the Japanese has taken serious note of the Korean competition!
