Toyota builds 200 million vehicles in 77 years
Toyota says they’ve built 200 million vehicles since the company began production of the G1 truck back in August 1935.
Toyota hit the milestone in 76 years and 11 months. Interestingly, they hit 50 million in 1985, 100 million in 1997, and 150 million in 2006. At this rate, they’ll make 50 million more cars in less than five years from now.
As of the end of June, production in Japan totaled 145.21 million vehicles and overseas production totaled 55.12 million vehicles. The highest-production model overall is the legendary Corolla, which totaled 39.08 million units till date.
