Aspid GT-21 Invictus supercar revealed

Spanish sportscar manufacturer Aspid have finally introduced the “production” version of the GT-21 Invictus.

This unusual looking sports car is powered by a BMW-sourced 4.4-litre V8 which delivers 450 hp at 8,300rpm to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox or a 6-speed manual.

Aspid claims the GT-21 Invictus can do the 0-100 kph run in under 3 seconds and can hit 305 kph top speed, if the tarmac allows. The more startling stat however is that the Invictus can deliver 1.6g on the skidpad.

Thanks to the composite body panels and spaceframe chassis the weight has been kept to a very lowly 990 kg.

The GT-21 Invictus gets an array of safety features as well, including adaptive airbags, stability control and anti-lock brakes.

The cabin insides get a 2+2 seating configuration and luggage capacity is measured at 275 litres.

Aspid will begin manufacturing the GT-21 Invictus in 2014 and as for pricing, we are yet to receive any information on that.
