Dodge Challenger Rallye Redline revealed as 2012 special edition
California was the place Chrysler chose to launch the Dodge Challenger Rallye Redline. It was at the Spring Festival, the haven for U.S. owners of Chrysler’s LX platform cars like the Challenger, Charger, Magnum and 300 congregate where the covers came off the special-edition Challenger.
The Rallye Redline is based on the Challenger SXT Plus and features a 3.6-litre V6 motor cranking out 305 hp and 363 Nm of torque, same as the standard model. The exterior gets a triple red stripe and new 20-inch wheels with subtle red stripes around the rims. The cabin insides come decorated with Radar Red leather seats.
The car also comes equipped with the Super Sport Group handling package that adds firmer front and rear shocks, larger front and rear sway bars, wider tyres, bigger brake rotors and 25% quicker steering.
The 2012 Dodge Challenger Rallye Redline goes on sale next month in the U.S. although it may not be offered in the UAE and other GCC countries anytime soon in this exact trim.
