BMW 6-series xDrive variants launched in the U.S.

Not so long ago, we reported about BMW about to offer their xDrive all-wheel-drive system in the 6-series range. The manufacturer has now updated their U.S. website to include the specification of the new variant as a 2012 model.

As specified in our earlier reports, the xDrive tech is only offered with the 650i coupe and convertible variants, powered by the 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 good for 400 hp.

But while the BMW 6-series xDrive-equipped variants have already arrived in the United States, it is unlikely that the 650i xDrive variants will be launched in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and rest of the GCC, as there is no real market for all-wheel-drive cars here, aside from crossovers.

Keep track of prices and updates in the BMW 6-Series buyer guide.
