Mercedes-Benz 2011 E-Class, M-Class, GL-Class & R-Class recall

Mercedes-Benz 2011 E-Class, M-Class, GL-Class & R-Class recall

Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall for brand new 2011 E-Class, M-Class, GL-Class, and R-Class models in the U.S. due to leaky fuel filters.

According to the U.S. NHTSA safety agency, the O-ring on the fuel filter may not have been properly lubricated, and that can result in fuel spilling out onto roads, causing slippery unsafe conditions for other drivers.

Approximately 2,300 vehicles are affected by this recall there, and U.S. Mercedes-Benz dealers will replace the fuel filters free of charge. This problem potentially affects some cars in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries too, although it is unknown if any 2011 cars have already been shipped here or not as we have been out of touch with their Middle East office.

What do you think?
