ENOC underscores road safety with month-long campaign

Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) underscored its corporate social responsibility commitment with the successful completion of a month-long road safety campaign conducted during the Holy Month of Ramadan and Eid period.

The objective of the campaign, held in partnership with Volvo, was to highlight the importance of safe driving, especially before Iftar. According to statistics, the highest number of accidents happens during this time.

Saeed Abdullah Khoory, ENOC’s Group Chief Executive said: “The road safety campaign organised by ENOC is a testament of our commitment to the community. It has been observed that accident rates are high during the time just before Iftar and we wanted to alert motorists and make them more cautious. The campaign was very successful as we reached out to thousands of motorists daily, emphasising the need for safe driving.”

Volvo played a key role during the campaign, highlighting the priority they give to safety, as reflected in their tagline ‘Volvo for Life.’

Roula Beiruty, Marketing Manager – Volvo Cars Middle East, said: “The road safety campaign, in partnership with ENOC, was well received by motorists. At Volvo, we have always focused on safety – which is part of our heritage as well as a commitment for the future. The campaign helped in reiterating the need for safe driving – during the Holy Month of Ramadan and beyond.”

ENOC distributed brochures and flyers emphasising the importance of safe driving to motorists as well as provided Evian Water Face spray to all drivers for free. The campaign was held across all 90 service stations of the company in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
